Begin your journey from Carita and travel by fast boat into Ujung Kulon National Park. Explore Handeuleum Island and the Cigenter River, enjoy rainforest and coastal activities, and stay overnight at Peucang Island.

Ujung Kulon Overland Tour Itinerary

Follow a three-day journey through the islands, rainforest, rivers and coastal landscapes of Ujung Kulon National Park.

DEPARTURE OPTION A

Fast Boat Version

A three-day, two-night journey from Carita through the natural landscapes of Ujung Kulon National Park.

DAY 01

Carita – Handeuleum Island – Cigenter River – Peucang Island

The journey begins at 8:00 AM with a pick-up from your hotel in Carita. From there, continue to Handeuleum Island by fast boat. The journey takes approximately two hours.

Upon arrival at Handeuleum Island, complete the required entrance and activity arrangements before continuing to Cigenter River for a canoeing experience.

Enjoy approximately two hours of canoeing through the Cigenter River while exploring the surrounding tropical rainforest and natural landscape.

After the canoeing activity, return to the boat and continue towards Peucang Island. On the way, make a stop at the grazing ground to enjoy the surrounding scenery.

Continue by fast boat to Peucang Island, which takes approximately 1.5 hours. Upon arrival, check in at the lodge and enjoy free time on the island.

Relax, swim, sunbathe or enjoy snorkeling around Peucang Island before spending the night at the lodge.

DAY 02

Peucang Island – Cibom – Ciramea – Tanjung Layar – Citerjun

Breakfast will be served at the lodge at 8:00 AM. After breakfast, continue by boat to Cibom and begin a jungle trek towards Ciramea Beach.

The round-trip trek takes approximately four hours. Walk through the tropical rainforest of Ujung Kulon National Park and enjoy the natural scenery along the route.

After exploring Ciramea, continue on foot towards Tanjung Layar Historical Site. Explore the area and enjoy the combination of tropical forest and coastal scenery.

After the trekking activity, return to Cibom and continue by boat to Citerjun.

Enjoy a snorkeling experience around Citerjun and explore the beautiful coral reef and coastal waters.

In the afternoon, return by boat to Peucang Island and enjoy free time at the lodge.

DAY 03

Peucang Island – Karang Copong – Carita

Breakfast will be served at the lodge at 8:00 AM. After breakfast, take a short trek to Karang Copong and explore the tropical forest surrounding Peucang Island.

The trek takes approximately two hours and offers an opportunity to enjoy the natural landscape and peaceful atmosphere of Ujung Kulon.

After exploring Karang Copong, return to Peucang Island and prepare for the return journey to Carita.

Board the fast boat and cruise back to Carita. The journey takes approximately three hours.

Upon arrival in Carita, the tour ends.

DEPARTURE OPTION B

Private Car + Fast Boat

A three-day, two-night journey from Jakarta to Ujung Kulon combining private road transportation and fast boat travel.

DAY 01

Jakarta – Carita – Peucang Island

Your journey begins with a pick-up from Jakarta International Airport or your hotel in Jakarta by our representative.

Travel by private car towards the coastal town of Carita. The journey takes approximately 3.5 hours.

From Carita, continue by fast boat towards Ujung Kulon National Park. Upon arrival at Peucang Island, check in at the lodge and enjoy free time to relax.

Spend the remainder of the day enjoying the island's natural surroundings. You can swim, sunbathe or enjoy snorkeling around Peucang Island.

DAY 02

Peucang Island – Karang Copong – Citerjun – Cidaon

Breakfast will be served at the lodge at 8:00 AM. After breakfast, begin a short trek to Karang Copong and explore the tropical forest surrounding the area.

After the trek, return to Peucang Island and continue by boat to Citerjun. Enjoy a snorkeling activity and explore the beautiful coral reefs and coastal waters.

After snorkeling, continue by boat to Cidaon and visit the grazing ground. Enjoy the surrounding landscape and, later in the afternoon, experience the sunset over the Ujung Kulon Peninsula.

After the activity, return by boat to Peucang Island and enjoy free time at the lodge.

DAY 03

Peucang Island – Handeuleum Island – Cigenter River – Carita – Jakarta

Breakfast will be served at the lodge at 8:00 AM. After breakfast, cruise towards Handeuleum Island.

Continue to Cigenter River and prepare for a jungle canoeing experience. The journey to the area takes approximately 1.5 hours by boat.

Enjoy the canoeing activity along Cigenter River and explore the surrounding tropical rainforest and natural environment.

After completing the activity, return to the boat and cruise back towards Carita.

Upon arrival in Carita, continue the journey by private car back to Jakarta.

The tour ends upon arrival in Jakarta.

End of the tour.
